FarmFacesEvery year around this time Molly and I start making plans for our Christmas trip to Nebraska.  While there we visit with relatives and I get to take pictures of farmland scenery.  This year there is an added bonus as it looks like we will be going to Colorado in addition to Nebraska.  Molly’s Parents just bought a house in Estes Park which lies just outside Rocky Mountain National Park.  This will be our first trip to their new home but not our first trip to RMNP.  When I was there this spring during the wildflower explosion I had a blast shooting the rainbow of colors.  The last time I was in RMNP in the winter was January 2008.  I was shooting 4×5 film at the time and came away with a handful of keepers but they are in storage waiting to be scanned.  I’m looking forward to going back and attempting to capture the images that eluded me last time.

The image above is a 7 Shot HDR  taken at the Vetter Family Farm aka Grain Place Foods.  I’m thinking that the tractor to the right has some excellent potential.  I’ll have to check the light after the family finishes opening presents…
